Who each room type is actually for, when the upgrade pays off, and when you're better off saving the difference for dinner.
I run the front office, which means I assign the rooms. Here's the comparison I'd give my own family — including when NOT to upgrade.
The Garden Room — For Most People, Most Times
Twenty-eight square metres, king bed, garden outlook, breakfast included. It's quiet because it faces the grounds, not the street. If you're here for the casino, the spa or a wedding — the room is where you sleep, and this one sleeps excellently.
Skip it only if you're celebrating something that deserves the extra space, or you're staying three-plus nights and want a separate lounge to decompress in.
The Skyline Suite — The Sweet Spot for Occasions
The upgrade buys three real things: a separate lounge, club lounge access (evening drinks included), and a 1 pm checkout that changes the whole last day. Plus $40 casino credit, which is basically dinner wine.
Anniversaries, proposals, milestone birthdays — this is the room for them. It's also the right pick for work trips where you're actually using the room during the day.

The Penthouse — When Ordinary Won't Do
One hundred and ten square metres, private terrace, butler, VIP lounge access and dinner for two included. It costs real money and it's worth it exactly when you think it is: the proposal, the big birthday, the 'we never do this' weekend.
